NVQ SPECTATOR SAFETY MANAGEMENT LEVEL 4

This Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Spectator Safety Management (QCF) is aimed at individuals working in a senior role in spectator safety management such as stadium manager, safety officer or chief safety officer. This qualification meets the requirements for level 4 training for people working in senior roles such as Chief Security Officer as specified in the Green Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds. 

The mandatory units cover the skills, knowledge and competence to plan and ensure the safety of people attending a spectator event, assist the organisation to develop and implement policies and provide information to support decision making; manage own resources and professional development, provide learning opportunities for colleagues and develop productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Assessment. 

All units in this qualification are assessed by portfolio. Evidence for this qualification must come from the learners ’consistent performance in the workplace and must be assessed in accordance with the Awarding body criteria

  • Additional Requirements for Qualifications that use the title NVQ within the QCF Further guidance for each unit can be found in the assessment guidance relevant to each unit. All Assessment Criteria must be met in each relevant unit to achieve this qualification.
  • An Achievement Record for this qualification which includes the forms necessary to map and claim knowledge and competence. (APEL)

Learner Entry Requirements:

There are no formal entry requirements. However, learners should be able to work at level 3 or above and be proficient in the use of English Language and must be in the role of a Safety Officer or Deputy Safety Officer.
